PeerVerity was created in March 2021 to combat the trust and misinformation problem on the internet. We live in a world of automated, globalized, and digitized economic transactions. We have myriad sources of information within which organized disinformation and plain-old misinformation proliferates. How do we trust the people and sources we depend on and interact with?
Software can help people and organizations build a web-of-trust where individuals rate others on various characteristics. Each rating can then be pooled in customized ways to create a personal trust factor for sources and individuals. PeerVerity is developing software to do precisely this.
